Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

President of the PTO,

Schools are rarely successful without the help and ongoing assistance of the parents. We are asking every parent to make a commitment to attend at least three Parent Teacher Organization meetings this year. The meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. Additionally, we can always use some help in the classrooms, lunchroom, and the playground. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. Take a moment to visit the PTO "corner" located in the library. Please see Ms. McCants, PTO or Ms. Fortune, PTO Treasurer, for more information.

We desire for parents to play an active part in Hope Academy. There are several areas in which we would like to have parents volunteer and assist in a smooth operation of the school. Each parent is expected to volunteer no less than 20 hours per school year. 20 hours may be completed in several short blocks of time. Please contact the President of the PTO to offer your assistance.

Parents are welcome to visit their child's classroom to assist in utilizing skills and talents. Parents or guardians may chaperone on field trips, supervise or help during special activities, assist teachers with daily routines, help during lunch, monitor halls, or help in the office. Please report to the office to obtain a pass prior to volunteering in their classroom. You are also asked sign in with the teacher when you arrive in the classroom. Note: When volunteering, you may be asked to assist a staff member other than your child's teacher.
